My Closet: LBD Edition

Thought I'd add a couple more pictures of some work outfits I've worn. Both of these outfits have been two favorites of mine because they are both simple outfits almost anyone can throw together and can still super fun to wear.

For the first outfit I simply wore a black knee length skirt with a plain black t-shirt. Then I threw on a red blazer to add a pop of color. Anyone can pull this outfit off and I'm sure most women already have a plain black skirt and shirt in there. And probably some kind of blazer/jacket/cardigan in their closet too. I've had my blazer in my closet for years but haven't worn in probably four years. Really any pop of color with this outfit turns it from simple and traditional to fun and sassy. Next I just jazzed up the outfit with some jewelry that reflects my personal style. I would say my personal style is traditional yet stylish with pieces of edginess/rocker style incorporated, whether it's a studded clutch, cropped leather jacket, or a pair of kick ass leather boots. I felt this outfit reflected my personal style pretty good. :)
By incorporating pieces that reflect your style it's easy to turn a simple and traditional outfit like this one into something unique and fun.

The second outfit is a also very simple and traditional and probably a piece of clothing most women already have in their closets, a LBD (little black dress). This is not necessarily the LBD that you would wear out for cocktails but it is definitely work appropriate. I love this dress because it kind of has a 50's feel to it. It has a thick round collar and little puffed sleeves. It also came with the black belt that I'm wearing it with too which is great for defining a waistline. To spice-up the 50's feel even more I worn pearl earnings and matching pearl necklace. I felt very classic and elegant in this outfit, loved it!
