DIY Crafts

This is a Christmas ornament that I made for my mom. I found this wonderful idea on Pinterest and made these for friends and family instead of buying a gift for everyone. It's a really easy craft and takes about 20 minutes to make. All you need is to buy clear ornaments which you can get from any craft store along with all the supplies you'll need too. I personalized each ornament not only by using the first letter of their first name but also with the color I used for each ornament. For my mom's her Christmas tress is all silver and gold so I made this one to match her tree. For my friends I used a pop of color somewhere on the ornament. Sparkles go inside the ornament, could use that as the pop of color. Then use crystal gems and hot glue them onto the ornament. Top it off by gluing some feathers on top and tying a strip of ribbon through the ornament top.

These are frosted glasses that I made. Just take any old plain glass you have; wine glass, shot glass, even a vase or water pitcher would work. You'll need to buy some frosted spray paint which you can get at any craft store, and some rubber bands. All you have to do is wrap the rubber bands around the piece of glass where you are going to want the lines to be. Once you have the rubber bands in place where you like them then use the frosted spray paint and spray the glass. Spray it evenly and don't spay to close to the glass. If you want a really clean stem on wine glasses then make sure you tape off the bottom. I didn't tape off the bottom on my glasses but they still turned out just fine.

To go with my my wine glasses I make wine charms that go on the stem of a wine glass. These are used for when I have company so that all my guests know which wine glass is theirs if they set it down. Most wine charms have a some sort of charm on them, but I made mine without the charm and just made them in different colors and patterns.
