My First Blog!

So I decided to start a blog! I'm not sure exactly how a blog works or what to put on here but I'm going to give it a shot anyway. I've been looking for something new to do so I figured this could be a good idea. I guess my ideas for this blog will probably revolve around my career, my hobbies and interests, and crafts and ideas that I have. 

Right now I'm working at David's Bridal working as a dress specialists which has been really fun. I love finding that perfect dress for someone, it's a great feeling! My ideal job is to be a wedding planner/consultant and I eventually want to open my own company, so my idea is to keep forging my path to get to where I want to be and keep all my latest news on how that's going updated on here. It would be really cool to one day look back on here and just see how my career came together. :) I'll probably post a lot of wedding ideas that I think are great ideas for my future wedding or any one's wedding for that matter.

As for my hobbies, it basically consists of photography, traveling, music, and doing fun things. I find that I am much more active if I have a partner to do things with. And as of now I currently don't have a boyfriend nor do I have friend who has the same schedule as me to do anything with, so I'm a little less adventurous these days.

Then there's my crafts, that I usually get from Pinterest...of course! Lol I love that site! Check it out...http://pinterest.com/ and feel free to follow me on there. Anyway, I like to do crafts and make things or find old things and turn them into new gems :)  I especially like to go to rummage sales and find little treasures. So many of favorite home decor pieces are refurbished and turned into really nice pieces. Right now my latest craft has to deal with a big piece of cork board. I've been thinking I want to turn it into a headboard but I'm not exactly sure how to do that or how I want it to look. I thought about using it as one big piece and covering it with fabric that matches my decor in my bedroom. Or I thought about cutting it into three rectangular pieces and covering them with fabric but either having them vertically or horizontally and evenly spaced as a headboard. I just don't know...too many decisions!

So that's basically what my blog is going to be about. I'm not sure how good I will be at updating this and sticking to it but I'm giving it a shot. Maybe I'll post some pictures of some of favorite rummage sale finds and refurbished furniture pieces!

It's coming up on a year that we've been non-divorced-divorced and I'm still knees deep in pain and hurt. I spend most of my days self-reflecting and trying to figure things out like; what is wrong with me, am I a narcissist, is he a narcissist? Am I the one who caused him pain and damaged him? Did I force him to be the way he was the same way I feel like he forced me to be the way I was? Let me just say, it's exhausting. Self-reflecting and navigating your emotions and feelings is hard, exhaustive work. I feel like I am constantly in this ebb and flow of emotions. Long Time Gone

It's been forever since I last posted and a lot has changed since then as well. I've moved, lost someone close to me, ended friendships and gained some new ones, and a lot more in between.The main reason for my absence is that I haven't had a computer since August so I haven't been able to post on my blog as much as I want. I still don't have a computer but I'm surviving without one...for now. As of today it has officially been a year a since I graduated college and it is shocking at how much has changed. Last December I felt like I was on top of the world, things were happening for me and life was the best it could get. This December is a different story. I feel like I'm climbing a mountain and every time I get somewhere I lose my grounding and fall all the way back down, I'm getting nowhere. I try to stay positive about everything. The Letter

Below is the letter I wrote to my ex-fiance about a month after we separated and after spending the week house sitting our home and dog while he was off on vacation. During this week of being in the home that was once mine, I became suicidal at one-point, I cried every day for hours upon hours, I did nothing but sit in my emotions and look at where I was and why what was happening to me, was happening to me. I spent almost every hour of every day researching how to make a relationship work, what makes a successful relationship, etc. I just dove in and tried to consume as much knowledge as I could. I tried to process my emotions and feelings as best as I could. And the end result was a 12 page written letter to my ex-fiance asking him to stay and work on our relationship.
